Amanda has been a resident of Charles County, Maryland for 30 years. After graduating from Thomas Stone High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore and a Master’s in Education, Administration and Supervision from Bowie State University.

Amanda has worked in the education field for over 15 years.  Amanda is a union member and supporter (PGCEA, MSEA, and NEA). Currently, Amanda teaches in Prince George's County, Maryland. Amanda lives in Waldorf with her husband, Alvin Stewart their son.  Amanda believes that Charles County is a great place to live and raise a family. Amanda and her family enjoy reading, fishing, swimming, traveling, volunteering, and attending sporting events.

Amanda will work hard to bring transparency to government.  With an unyielding work ethic she will work to eliminate overcrowding in schools and improve our aging schools.  Amanda wants to make sure that Charles County grows with a plan.  She will make sure that we have a plan for smart growth. Careful planning is the key to avoiding future transportation complications.   Amanda is committed to representing the citizens of Charles County regarding these issues and more.
